Lesley Ryder is an actor, comedian, and writer originally from Brooklyn, New York. Growing up, she jumped at the opportunity to play hockey to get out of Sunday School, and she’s loved sports ever since. On game days, you’ll find her on Twitter using memes to convey the action on the field.

Gal Pals

We started this adventure the summer of 2019. Worn out by the existing narratives around women’s sports, we were ready to enjoy our leagues the same way we enjoy men’s sports - with a couple of beers and a lot of laughs. We started creating videos en route to France for the World Cup and over a year later we’re still going. We aim to make sports fun, make fun of sports, and do some good along the way.

Emily Anderson

Emily Anderson, originally from Columbus, IN, is a product manager by day and director and photographer by night. As a kid she was incentivized to overcome her fear of the baseball with Mint Milano cookies. It did not work, and she soon moved on to soccer. On Chicago Red Stars game days, you can find her on the sideline taking photos.
