Sarah Griffith is the first Chicago Stars FC signing of 2025. The Chicagoland native is signed with the club through June 2025.
Griffith made 7 appearances for the Stars last season, and earned an assist in the team’s 2-2 draw against the Kansas City Current. She excelled in her passing, an area where the Stars struggled mightily last season.
The short-term contract appears to be a new contract mechanism this season. The Stars previously awarded a short-term contract to Nadia Gomes through March.
Chicago Stars FC also announced they will kick off their preseason at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL.
